Depart Hà Giang city and climb the sweeping curves of Bắc Sum Pass. Stand at the summit of Quản Bạ Heaven's Gate to take in the breathtaking view of the Fairy Twin Mountains. Visit Lùng Tám village where H'mong women weave linen and create intricate batik patterns using natural bee wax. Ride through the pine forests of Yên Minh, climb the twisting bends of Thẩm Mã Pass, and visit the historic 1919 stone mansion of H'Mong King Vương Chính Đức (Dinh Họ Vương). Settle into your boutique hotel in Đồng Văn Old Quarter.

💡 Insider Tip: Take time to explore the stone fortress architecture of the H'Mong King's Palace to see how opium trade funded its defense.
Day 2

Đồng Văn → Mã Pí Lèng Pass Summit → Nho Quế River Tu Sản Canyon → Mèo Vạc (50 km)

Experience the single most breathtaking stretch of mountain road in Southeast Asia: the legendary Mã Pí Lèng Pass. Clinging to the sheer limestone cliffs 1,500 meters above sea level, you'll stop at the iconic Happiness Road Monument. Descend to the emerald waters of the Nho Quế River for a private boat cruise through the vertical 800-meter cliffs of Tu Sản Canyon. Climb back up to Mèo Vạc town for a traditional hot pot dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

Mèo Vạc → Sa Lý Pass & M-Shape Bend → Mậu Duệ Gorges → Du Già Waterfall (85 km)

Leave Mèo Vạc on remote backroads through Sa Lý Pass and the dramatic M-shaped hairpin curves. Arrive in the idyllic valley of Du Già, where you can plunge into the invigorating freshwater pools beneath Du Già Waterfall. Enjoy a family-style dinner with your Tay host family with corn wine and folk songs.

💡 Insider Tip: Bring your swimwear for a refreshing jump into the deep natural swimming hole at Du Già Waterfall.
Day 4
