From High-Altitude Bean to Cup: The Heritage of K'Ho Coffee Farmers in the Lang Biang Foothills

Why Đà Lạt is the Coffee Capital of Southeast Asia

Perched at 1,500 meters above sea level with mineral-rich volcanic basalt soil, perpetual mountain fog, and cool temperatures, Đà Lạt is one of the few places in Vietnam capable of growing premium high-altitude Arabica (including rare Typica and Bourbon varietals).

On our backroad rides through Cầu Đất and the foothills of Lang Biang mountain, we bypass commercial tourist cafes and visit family-run farms where beans are hand-picked, washed with mountain spring water, and sun-dried on bamboo screens.
