Depart Đà Lạt via the winding curves of Tà Nung Pass. Stop at local flower greenhouses, family rice wine distilleries, and a traditional silk weaving mill. Scramble down the canyon gorge of Elephant Waterfall (Thác Voi) and taste authentic highland weasel coffee. Ride across rugged mountain ridges into the homeland of the indigenous M'Nong people at Jun Village on the shore of Lak Lake. Watch local fishermen check their nets in wooden dugout canoes and sleep in a traditional wooden longhouse or lakeside bungalow.
Lak Lake → Elephant Rock Monolith → Dray Sáp & Dray Nur Volcanic Falls → Đắk Mil (140 km)
Hike to the wind-swept summit of Elephant Rock (Đá Voi Mẹ) — the largest natural granite monolith in Vietnam. Ride along hidden forest tracks of the historic Ho Chi Minh Trail to explore the thundering volcanic cascades of Dray Sáp, Dray Nur, and Gia Long waterfalls. Swim in the natural crystal-clear pools and enjoy a natural waterfall massage before riding to the border outpost town of Đắk Mil for an overnight stay.
Đắk Mil → Cambodian Border Trail → Cacao Fermentation & Pepper Farms → Di Linh (130 km)
Ride as close as possible to the Cambodian border along remote authentic wartime remnants of the Ho Chi Minh Trail. Visit organic cacao (cocoa) plantations to learn the artisan bean fermentation process, black pepper orchards, and curry/achiote farms. Wind along scenic mountain ridges into the cool plateau town of Di Linh for an overnight stay.
Di Linh → K'Ho Tribal Villages → Dragon Fruit Valleys → Fairy Stream & Mũi Né Dunes (120 km)
Travel along historic country roads past indigenous K'Ho mountain villages, cashew nut orchards, and sprawling dragon fruit cactus farms. Descend from the highlands towards the coast to explore the surreal red sandstone canyon of Fairy Stream (Suối Tiên), ride across the sweeping Red and White Sand Dunes of Mũi Né, and finish at the colorful coracle fishing harbor before beachside hotel drop-off.
