Day 1

Sa Pa → Mường Hoa Valley → Y Linh Hồ & Lao Chải Villages (40 km)

Begin your adventure in Sa Pa, riding through the cascading rice terraces of Mường Hoa Valley. Visit the traditional Black H'Mong and Giáy ethnic villages of Y Linh Hồ, Lao Chải, and Tả Van. Overnight in Sa Pa.

Day 2

Sa Pa → Mường Khương Foothills → Bắc Hà Highland Market Town (110 km)

Ride east along scenic mountain passes towards Bắc Hà. Visit the colorful highland market (Sunday market) where Flower H'Mong, Tay, and Dao people trade buffaloes, handmade textiles, and corn wine. Explore the 1920 French-H'Mong palace of Hoàng A Tưởng before checking into your lodge in Bắc Hà.

Day 3

Bắc Hà → Xín Mần Mountain Pass → Quang Bình → Hà Giang City (135 km)

Traverse remote border roads through Xín Mần and Quang Bình, crossing lush tea valleys and mountain rivers into Hà Giang province. Arrive in Hà Giang city in the afternoon to prepare for the karst loop.

Day 4

Hà Giang City → Quản Bạ Heaven's Gate → Thẩm Mã Pass → Đồng Văn (145 km)

Climb Bắc Sum Pass to Quản Bạ Heaven's Gate. Visit Lùng Tám linen weaving village, conquer Thẩm Mã Pass, and explore the H'Mong King's Palace before checking into your hotel in Đồng Văn Old Quarter.

Day 5

Đồng Văn → Mã Pí Lèng Pass → Nho Quế River Canyon → Mèo Vạc (50 km)

Conquer the legendary Mã Pí Lèng Pass and glide along the emerald Nho Quế River in a private boat inside Tu Sản Canyon. Overnight in Mèo Vạc.

Day 6

Mèo Vạc → Mậu Duệ Valley → Yên Minh → Hà Giang City (140 km)

Ride through the scenic gorges of Mậu Duệ and Du Già back to Hà Giang city, with celebratory coffee and onward transfer.
